The Academic Program
At schools in the SABIS® School Network, students are prepared for a smooth transition from year to year through careful preparation and planning. A special program is offered to students who have either not studied in English before or whose English and/or Math is weak. This accelerated program brings students up to the required level in the shortest possible time, and when the administration considers that students are ready, they join regular classes.Various Stages of the School

Kindergarten:
In the Kindergarten School, the fundamental skills of Reading and Mathematics are taught in an interactive approach and in a friendly and positive environment.
The point system is introduced from the very beginning in Nursery. The students review on a daily basis, which helps the information to be imprinted into their long-term memories.
Learning takes place in the classroom and parents are expected not to study with their children at home.
The KG classes are warm and welcoming, and their large playground area with its safe and attractive equipment provides a stimulating environment.
Primary:
In the primary school, the point system and group work continue to be used to teach interactively, and regular testing is introduced to identify any gaps that may have been formed in the children's knowledge. A high level of language proficiency and mathematical competence is attained at the end of Grade 6.
Intermediate:
In the intermediate grades, instruction continues using the SABIS® methodology of teaching and testing.
Students following our International program (IP) start taking IGCSE courses in Grade 9. The courses offered include Mathematics, English, Arabic, French, German, P.E, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Business, Economics, Statistics and Computer Studies.
The Lebanese students take the courses that prepare them to sit for the Government Brevet exams.
Secondary:
In the secondary school, instruction continues using the SABIS® methodology. Secondary students fulfill all the requirements for external and governmental exams by acquiring a solid education that enables them to further their studies in the most prestigious universities in the UK, USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, the Middle, and Far East. In fact, students usually obtain top marks in the external examinations for which they are prepared. These examinations include the IGCSE, GCE O-Level, AS-Level and A-Level examinations of the British system of education, the TOEFL, SAT I, SAT II, and Advanced Placement (AP) examinations of the American system of education, and the Lebanese Baccalaureate exams. As required, students are also prepared for national examinations and for the examinations needed to obtain a High School Diploma.
Students may prepare for these examinations separately or in different combinations. The scope and flexibility of the curriculum gives students a better chance and, ultimately, a wider choice.
English, Mathematics, and Other World Languages
English is the medium of instruction and Mathematics is considered a language, as it is a tool that is necessary to understand sciences and other subjects. A high premium in time and effort is placed on the mastery of English and Mathematics because mastering these subjects will greatly facilitate the study of Science and Technology, Economics, Finance, and other related subjects.
Arabic is strongly stressed throughout the curriculum. Once competence in the first and second language is achieved, a third language is introduced.
Art, Music & PE
Art is taken from Nursery to Grade 8. The children learn various artistic skills from basic color and texture identification, to more detailed designs. They learn to appreciate many aspects of Art and use their imagination to create visual forms.
Music is part of the curriculum from Nursery to Grade 8. Our students are introduced to rhyme, rhythm, melody, and pitch. They learn different songs and start to play the recorder as early as Grade 2. The children acquire an appreciation of music, which gives them a love of this art form for life.
PE classes start in Pre Kg and continue to Grade 12. Lessons start with simple ball and mat activities, where students learn focused movement and coordination. The curriculum develops, through the grades, to more complex games and team training.
